Our experience of Vietnam presents the opportunity for participants to understand more deeply the rich cultural tapestry of one of Asia's most rich histories.
Encounter the very heart of The Cardoner Project's work as you assist in the first ever place we served, St Vincent Diem Orphanage for Children with Disabilities in Huong Phuong. Visit the Project's social enterprise ice and water purification plant that helps make the orphanage self-sustainable. Finish the experience teaching English to disadvantaged young children in the Ha Tinh Province.
“For me the highlight was during my experience at the orphanage in Vietnam. The particular moment that stood out for me was on the last night when the children at the orphanage had staged a concert for us, and then when we were performing they joined in with us. The dancing that followed was a really happy moment for me, especially when some of the kids I had formed special connections with wanted to sing and dance alongside me. Their smiles and excitement made me really happy and I think it was the simplicity of that happy moment that made it so memorable.”
